Oliver Bennett is an interdisciplinary writer with a wealth of professional writing experience. Working with some of the UK leading’s cultural institutions, magazines and newspapers. With over three decades of work, Oliver wanted to invest in a portfolio site to showcase the breadth of his writing, editorial and publishing. To highlight what he offers as a Writer, Journalist, Editor and Speaker to a target audience of Culture, Arts and Lifestyle businesses.

WEBSITE GOALS:

• A website that would show the breadth of Oliver’s professional writing practice.

• To have a portfolio site that clearly shows work from over 20 years.

• To highlight clearly what services Oliver offers as a writer, journalist, editor and speaker

• To convey Oliver’s approachable, creative and engaging personality within the design.

ACTIONS TAKEN:

• We broke down the different sectors that Oliver’s work covers for clear categorisation for his portfolio.

• Looked at how to communicate what Oliver does and for who and how he can help his target clients.

• Work page layout to showcase the breadth of work with clear categories of sectors his work falls into. This portfolio area can easily be updated by Oliver - with CSS breadcrumb navigation.

• Each individual work project can be linked to an external source.

• Home page (landing page) humanising Oliver with a focus on highlighting his client list with a wall of logos from all the sectors his work covers to build credibility with prospective clients.

• Mobile friendly design

• SEO friendly - with keywords developed for on-page SEO

• The site's overall design is simple and graphic with clear CTA’s to get in touch.
