Furniture Maker Website | Gareth Neal
“ Working with Emma was a very enjoyable and fulfilling process; her clear planning and intimate knowledge of the design and craft industry, enabled us to see the business from a new perspective and help drive it forward. Emma very successfully designed and built us a new website to convey this to the right audience.”

Project Background
Gareth Neal Studio was looking to update from a very outdated WordPress website to a site where the in-house team could easily update and showcase the different areas that the business spans within Craft, Art and Furniture Design.
The business had an extensive back catalogue of projects, commissions, and products they wished to have access to and curate systematically on the site so it could be used to direct customers when discussing work. They were also keen on a website that could be added to as and when the business needed it.
ACTIONS TAKEN:
Broke down the different strands of the business and the target customer/audience and designed a site around these key areas.
Implemented how the site would work across all screen devices with ease of navigation being critical.
Designed a portfolio page template for each business area that could easily be updated with the studio's past and latest work and projects, including clear calls to action and content information with added CSS styling.
Uploaded all the back catalogues of projects, commissions and products to the new site.
Resized, enhanced and collated images for composition within the new site design
Designed a blog which allows for ease of update with categories. With added CSS styling and populated with posts from past years.
Linked the website to an external mailing list software system.
The site's overall design is minimal, with simple navigation and the product images being centre stage.
After project completion, clients receive training for self-updates, so live website content may differ from my original design.
